Weird Pot Party

I FINALLY was picked for a mural! I submitted a design for the Weird Pot Party and when I got the email that I was chosen, I cried. I have been rejected by so many opportunities and it can be daunting, but I keep trying! On Friday, May 15th, I spent the afternoon and evening live painting a very large planter. My idea was inspired by the Truist building and my planter happens to be across the street from it, right in front of the Neomonde restaurant. There were nine other artists besides me and we were all given the same color palette to work with so that it would be cohesive. I was surrounded by so many talented people and everyone’s work turned out beautifully. I love Durham so much and have had such a great time creating and sharing my work. I am forever grateful for Weird Productions for taking a chance on me! I can’t wait until the day I am given a chance to do something even bigger. I know it’s coming! If you live in the Triangle, make sure you take a trip around Downtown Durham to see all the beautiful planters! (Scroll down to see my finished product!)
